Abili al Karate is a WKSI permanent project on inclusive karate. All can truly benefit from karate.

WKSI – Wadokai Karatedo Shin-Gi-Tai-Italia, branch of JKF Wado-kai, is committed to developing and fostering inclusive karate through the practice, study and spreading of adapted teaching methods for people with a disability. Registered with CONI and member of ACSI, a large sport promotion organization, WKSI also fosters social promotion. It is registered in the Registro Nazionale del Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali and is a member of IKF – IKKAIDO, the international federation of inclusive martial arts for people with a disability.

Being inclusive means integrating different people with different characteristics by accepting diversity with no discrimination. Inclusive karate aims at including everyone, no matter what their physical, mental and social condition is.

WKSI delivers inclusive Wado-ryu traditional karate courses in its dojos, schools of every kind and grade and by means of ad-hoc social sports projects. Our adapted training and teaching methods enable to involve and integrate people with a physical and mental disability in a group, for the harmonized interaction among students, regardless of their impairment.

This is the spirit that we bring forward as a partner of two great European Union projects: Deporte Inclusivo Europeo, a beautiful example of inclusive karate came true in Cadiz, Spain, and PRIME – Participation, Recreation and Inclusion through Martial Arts Education.
